Arthur and Renee Hollingbery were
prominent members of Goldsmiths Photographic Club in Greenwich, London.
After moving to Cumbria they received many requests for slide shows,
they held weekly shows at St Herbert's Church Hall for many years.
They fell in love with The Lakes
on their first holiday there in the early 1950's, returning every year
until they retired to Beech Cottage, Braithwaite in 1982.
From
then on they were out on the fells with dog and camera every day until
their health failed.
They photographed everything that
interested them, not just the landscapes, in all seasons and all weathers.
