A Photographic Record of the English Lake District
by A.L. & B.M. Hollingbery

Arthur and Renee Hollingbery were prominent members of Goldsmiths Photographic Club in Greenwich, London. After moving to Cumbria they received many requests for slide shows, they held weekly shows at St Herbert's Church Hall for many years.

They fell in love with The Lakes on their first holiday there in the early 1950's, returning every year until they retired to Beech Cottage, Braithwaite in 1982.

From then on they were out on the fells with dog and camera every day until their health failed.

They photographed everything that interested them, not just the landscapes, in all seasons and all weathers.

This is a selection of what they saw. More pictures will be added as time permits.
